We are currently looking for a Senior Workplace Design Specialist – Mock-Ups to join our team in Holland, MI.

 

As a Senior Workplace Design Specialist – Mock-Ups you will:

Provide creative design application expertise for internal and external customers at the workstation, beta-site, small floor plate, and neighborhood levels. Lead projects and meets project requirements to ensure smooth project delivery. Collaborate with dealers, and various internal resources to ensure cohesive project execution. Share knowledge with internal and external audiences including clients, dealers, and field sales members on Haworth’s approach to knowledge and applied design.
Essential Functions
Leads understanding of applied design of Haworth brand by developing creative design applications, custom options, drawings, specifications, and value engineered product solutions for customer projects
Engages in project meetings to grasp scope and client needs. Provides technical expertise for product strategy & requirements. Works with sales, tailored solutions, marketing, manufacturing, customer service, and dealers on deliverables.
Prioritizes work for deliverables. Prepares objectives, milestones, schedules, and updates for stakeholders. May support new product launches, mockup design, or design charrettes. May coordinate vendor work and train dealer designers.
Manages customer, project, and requirement lists for reporting and resource allocation. Defines project scope and roles. Reviews quality of work, adjusting as needed to meet client requests.
Manages project files, updates competitive resource library, and coordinates drawings per Haworth standards. Identifies opportunities to improve processes and responses, resolve issues, and refine client products, enhancing win rates.
Assists HQ Client Experience and sales teams with customer visits to present information to educate clients on product design and functions for exceptional client orientation.
Utilizes CAD producing 2D/3D drawings per company standards. May create/support rendered images and animations from models, drawings, products, sketches, and images to depict client layouts and selections.
Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
Required Qualifications
Education:

Bachelor Degree in design, architecture or equivalent.
Education Equivalency: Associate Degree in design or architecture plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience.

Work Experience:

5 years in commercial interior design, including 3 years of project management experience with Bachelor’s Degree.
3 years in commercial interior design, including 3 years of project management experience with Master’s Degree.

Additionally:

Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.     
Preferred Qualifications
1 level of professional certification (National Council for Interior Design Qualification [NCIDQ], Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design [LEED], American Institute of Architects [AIA], or National Council of Architectural Registration Boards [NCARB]) and/or 1 year additional continuing education coursework in business, design, or creative studies preferred.
Experience with CET or AutoCAD preferred.
Contract office furniture experience preferred.
