Overview

As a member of the E-Systems team, the Customer Resident Applications Engineer will be responsible for representing Lear Connection System solutions onsite at major OEM’s in North America to support new business, vertical integration, product changes and quality issues. Lead engineering activity and ensure that the products meet customer and company specifications and that program milestones are achieved. Build key relationships and share voice of the customer within the Lear organization.

 

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Build relationships with key decision makers in the connection system space
Understand how to navigate OEM systems and process to support Lear content introduction and read-across
Perform or support customer and internal drawing releases
Develop proficiency in the current Lear connection system catalog
Frequent travel between office and customer location
Identify sales opportunities and engage proper Lear technical and sales personnel to support
Maximize the approval rates and penetration of Lear content at the OEM
Ensure Customer’s expectations are met or exceeded with any support requested
Support RFQ activities
Support build events and build issue resolution as needed
 

 

Your Qualifications:

B.S. Engineering or Physics
Sales experience
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Willing to travel to other Lear locations (Europe, Asia) to support technical developments or other customer events as needed
High-Voltage connection systems experience
 

 

Bonus If You Have:

Terminal and connector experience
OEM experience
