Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Maintaining a focus on reducing Cost of Poor Quality by engaging Quality Managers in areas that are of high impact to this metric
Implementing Industry 4.0 concepts, projects and strategies to improve quality defect detection and provide real time data analytics
Sharing and implementing Best Practices across all GSM foam facilities
Travelling to the GSM plants to implement operational best practices and review customer issues
Communicating corporative directives and procedural changes to the GSM foam plants.
Understanding customer needs and requirements and develop effective quality control processes
Devising and reviewing specifications for new products or processes
Monitoring supplier compliance to specifications and quality expectations
Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines per our new protocols as well as any legal obligations
Mentoring managers, supervisors, technicians and other staff by providing guidance and feedback
Identifying procedures that may deviate from quality standards
Providing operational and practical input on new program quotes
Keeping accurate documentation on quality performance
Soliciting feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
Submitting detailed reports to appropriate executives
Promoting a lookout for opportunities for improvement and developing new efficient procedures

Your Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering Field
Knowledge of Foam process or injection process
Quality Manager or Management experience
Excellent people skills; leadership ability to direct the department
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability
Project management skills

Bonus If You Have:

Ability to speak Spanish
Knowledge of Automotive Quality Standards
Knowledge of PPAP submissions, APQP process, IATF audits, PFMEA/Control Plan training
Statistical Background
Chemical Engineering Degree
